As time goes by, the body asks us to change our habits, particularly if we are not the type of people who have not tried to have the best ones. And the truth is that, no matter how small these modifications may be, they manage to do a lot for us and our health.
Creating wellness habits goes beyond looking good in the mirror. It’s about having more energy, better rest, performing more and… exhausting yourself less. But all that entails a small universe of routines and decisions that have to do with something important: intention and perseverance.
Creating wellness habits means that you are concerned not only with the routine you have today, but with the life you will lead in the future. That is why we show you some improvements that you can have in it. And without complicating you too much.
Improve your diet. You can start by adding healthy foods to your diet. Remember that the more colors your diet has, the more you increase the chances of obtaining the necessary nutrients.
Drink a minimum of two liters of water a day. Water is the source of life, and therefore, of good health. This is probably the most obvious recommendation, but not necessarily the most followed. Remember that drinking water improves digestion, skin, sleep and helps prevent the appearance of some diseases. If you don’t like the idea of just drinking water, you can add a few slices of orange, cucumber, or a few organic mint leaves for a little flavor.
Exercise. A few minutes of stretching is all it takes to start a little routine. The WHO has mentioned on different occasions that the body should exercise you for a few minutes of the day, managing to do at least 3 hours a week of exercise.
Have a better organization. Organizing your time means thinking of yourself and giving relevance to your priorities and what you need to perform in your routine.
Replace habits that you find it difficult to quit and change them for an alternative that is beneficial for your health and well-being. Let’s say, for example, that you are one of those people who consume a lot of snacks. Replace them with a healthier option (walnuts, almonds, etc …)
